Care Instructions

First use: Boil the filter in water for 10 minutes before first use.   

Daily care: Always rinse your filter after you use it (no soap needed). To ensure your filter stays fresh and clean for the next use, we recommend storing it in a covered jar full of water in the fridge. This is an easy way to prevent mildew, mold, and unpleasant flavors from developing.  

If you do not use your Bloom filter every day, rinse it well after use and store your filter flat in a sealed bag in the freezer for longer storage. Before your next use, run the frozen filter under warm water to revitalize.    

Life span: After about a year of regular use, you will likely need to retire your filter. Hemp is a natural, biodegradable fabric which can be composted when you’re ready.
